Orkney Day Tour £45 will include:
- Scapa Flow - the final resting place of the German High Fleet in 1919, this magnificent natural anchorage was used by the Vikings and later sheltered the British Fleet in two World Wars.
- The Churchill Barriers - built in 1940s using Italian POWs as part of the labour force.
- Italian Chapel - built by Italian POWs during construction of the Churchill Barriers. Nissen huts disguise a beautiful and remarkable interior.
- Maeshowe - the finest chambered tomb in Western Europe, built before 2,700 BC. Raided by Vikings in the 12th century who left the largest collection of runic inscriptions found anywhere in one place.
- Ring of Brodgar- magnificent stone circle originally comprising of 60 stones of which 36 still remain.
- Standing Stones of Stenness - a stone circle from the third millennium BC consisting originally of 12 stones.
- Skara Brae - the best Neolithic village in Europe. Stone Age village of ten one-roomed houses dating from 3,000 BC, in remarkable state of preservation.
- Skaill House - early 17th century mansion, home to the dinner service from Captain Cook's ship, Discovery.'
- Kirbuster Farm Museum - Step back in time in this 16th century farmhouse with traditional central hearth and stone beds.
