Tour Information

The cost of the tour does not include admission fees or refreshments. On full day tours we stop at a cafe or restaurant for lunch, or you may choose to bring your own. During shorter tours, tea/coffee breaks can be arranged. The choice is always yours!

All baggage, personal belongings and personal security are at all times the responsibility of clients.

We strongly advise that you take out insurance at the time of booking to guard against damage or loss to personal property or personal injury.

Weather

Orkney's weather can change quickly, so please bring suitable clothing and footwear for the type of tour you choose. If you are unsure please ask your tour guide for advice.

Fees

The cost of your tour will be given at the time of booking.

This will vary depending on length of tour, distance travelled or any specific requirements. On a full day lasting more than eight hours a supplementary payment for each additional hour is payable. On a half-day, lasting more than four hours, a supplementary payment is levied for each additional hour.

Cancellations

Half and Full day tours

• If less than seven days notice of cancellation is given - 50 per cent of the fees is payable.
• If less than 48 hours notice of cancellation - the full fee is payable.
• Extended tours require 28 days notice or such other time as agreed at the time of the booking.

Please note that these are guidelines and all fees and conditions should be agreed between the client and the guide before commencement of the contract. We strongly advise that clients take out insurance at the time of booking to guard against cancellation.

Cancellations by Discover Orkney

Due to the vagaries of the Orkney weather and unforeseen circumstances, Discover Orkney reserves the right to alter or cancel tours if necessary.
